Acustica Audio Unveils Pink2 Bundle (Plug-In's)

Pink is the New Black

Acustica Audio has been a staple for engineers for decades by innovating professional software and hardware for the studio. The original Pink package featured several VST plug-ins that made their way onto records produced by audio masterminds Greg Wurth and Luca Pretolesi.

Today, Acustica Audio has the new and improved Pink2 Bundle up for pre-sale linked here. Its full of brand-spankin' new dynamics plugins... so, naturally, us nerds here at WG can't wait to rip it apart and see whats happening under the hood.

Our input

(pun intended)

The first thing we noticed is its visual homage to vintage audio hardware of the 60's. The feel and layout of the interface favors new and experienced engineers alike while still allowing a dynamic assortment of adjustable parameters to get a truly unique sound every time. It's sleek on the inside, but for people who like some surface-level beauty it's quite easy on the eyes.

Improvements from the original Pink software include the integration of Acustica's Core 12 engine which improves CPU efficiency without sacrificing performance, as well as internal improvements that remove unnecessary or unwanted artifacts from the programming.

All together, the quality of sound is spot on with current trends that you can't find on older model equipment. The dynamic processors give as much as you need it to without squashing your signal to oblivion (unless that's your goal, I guess; to each their own). Also, the filters are tight and diverse. When you put these elements together it forms a unique flavor that will satiate techies for years to come, and with a pre-order set at €169.15 the price won't leave a bad taste in your pocketbook.

Keep your eyes peeled on user reviews in the coming months to get a closer look at the software.
